#31 Time to Reflect & Relax

Affirmation for Transformation: “When I give myself time to reflect and relax, I regain my stamina and energy to participate fully in my life.”

If you are feeling off, disconnected, dis-satisfied, stressed, or overwhelmed, it’s time to reflect, relax and reconnect.  It is difficult to feel inspired and aware that there is an abundant supply of love and support for us when we are feeling disconnected.   Too busy, and rushed doesn’t allow time for you to enjoy life.  When we live in fast-paced societies, trying to keep up often consumes our time, energy, and attention leaving little time to be spontaneous.  Fatigue can slow you down and make completing your duties lack of enthusiasm difficult.  Feeling worn out and continuing to meet your duties without allowing yourself to spend at least a few minutes to reflect and relax may harm you emotionally and physically.   Letting stress build up causes physical symptoms of illness.  Retained tension adversely affects our wellness: muscles, brain, heart, and lungs, and our nonphysical energy system, our Merkaba.

When we take time to rest for even a few minutes we rejuvenate ourselves and restore our stamina.  When you take the time to reflect and relax it cultivates a feeling of peace with the world and an awareness that that the you-universe is taking care of you.  We are energetic beings and energy has a vibration, a frequency.  We have an optimal rate of vibrational energy to keep us healthy and happy.  When we are operating at our optimal energy level we feel good and can sense we are aligned and whole.  We have better intuition and perception because we are resonating at our ideal frequency.  As with epigenetics our thoughts, emotions, drink, food, and our environment contribute to our energy.  Cultivating good habits that

can support our energy, by taking time to reflect within can raise our vibration.

Try practicing these to raise your vibration:

Affirmations, and creative, expansive thoughts support us in a way that is like having our own accountability partner, our own cheerleader to help us stay mindful of our energy.  Intentions that are strong in our desires will help support us to sustain a higher vibrational energy.  As we evolve, we continue to manifest, and attract; the circumstances, and people which help us create a higher vibrational reality. Affirmations are the first step in helping us affirm what we want to create.

Cultivating a happy heart supports our ability to cope with our environment.  Spending time each day doing what makes us happy, makes us feel satisfied.   Taking only a few minutes to journal, doodle, sew, work on a craft project, sip a cup of tea, or take a nice bath or refreshing shower helps support our energy.  A few minutes of pleasurable, peaceful, and easy, activity will help to brighten your life.

Meditating briefly, for only 5 minutes, anytime in the day, can work like magic to help us reconnect.  Taking time to become heart-centered, clear your mind, and attune to yourself, within will often reveal inspiration, and the options, that are best for you.  The analytical mind separates the conscious from the subconscious.  The whole purpose of meditation is to get out of the analytical mind and regulate the brain waves to slow them down.  Meditation can help you with overwhelming feelings.  Every day, feelings of fear, stress, and depression can be overcome with reflection and leave you feeling better than yesterday with practice.

Physical exercise works like magic to uplift our vibration.  The mental release and physical benefits for our bodies to harmonize are underestimated.  Exercise can prevent stress from having a negative impact on your body, improving circulation, bone and muscle health, releasing toxins, and improving hormone health.  Dancing for example, just simply makes me smile!  Taking a walk is an opportunity to feel calmer and more collected especially when with nature!  Try not to wait to practice exercising activities until it is too late to do it!

One of my favorite affirmations:

Work out because you can.

Be grateful for your abilities.

Don’t ever take it for granted!

Gardening helps you become spontaneous, exercise, and connect with nature. If you are a gardener you understand the spontaneous reaction that will happen when you see a weed.  Your body will automatically bend down to pull the weed, which spontaneously causes the repeat action, and exercise until the entire bed is weeded. And… oh what a joyful feeling it is to know that bed looks tidy!

The exercise gardening provides doesn’t go unnoticed, especially after a whole day outside digging, planting, weeding, removing sod, mulching, etc.!  A flower garden is a work of art and beauty, and replenishes the soul.  A garden sanctuary in your own yard or a special place at a park reminds you that you are part of nature’s essence.  A garden retreat is a place to reflect and relax while connecting to life-giving energy.  Running water, ponds, and streams release stress and create a peaceful, harmonizing energy flow.  Observing the abundance, the summer brings to the garden and our innate connection gives us abundant joy. The seasons provide us with Mother earths natural transformation to embrace change and renew.

I’d love to hear what you think.
